COUNTY LEGISLATURE - Tuesday, March 2nd, Legislative Chambers, 7:00 PM. 

OPERATION MEDICINE CABINET - Saturday, March 13th, Rockland County Sheriff's Office, 55 New Hempstead Road, New City, 10AM-2PM. Sponsored by the Sheriff's Police Divison and County District Attorney, in conjunction with the Clarkstown Police Department, this is another effort to combat the illicit and illegal use of prescription drugs, particularly by our young people. They will be collecting all outdated, unused, or unwanted medication including all controlled and non-controlled substances - PARTICIPATION ENCOURAGED WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED. ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE - Sunday, March 21st, kickoff at Pfizers (formerly Lederle) at Route 304 and Middletown Road, south and a right onto Central Avenue, ending at the train station in Pearl River. Parade starts at 1:30 PM, and traffic in the immediate area will be shut down at 12:30PM. Come celebrate and be part of the second largest St. Pat's Parade in the Country! If you are not Irish? Not to worry, as all are "Irish for the day"

APRIL

 "TRANSPLANTS SAVES LIVES" ANNUAL WALKATHON - Sunday April 11th, Rockland Lake, Rte. 9W, Congers, 9:30 AM. 16th anniversary of this annual event. Join in this wlak to create awareness for the need for organ, tissue, and eye donation. The fact is that tomorrow, that need could be for a friend or loved one. "FRIENDS AND FAMILY" PANCAKE BREAKFAST- Sunday, April 11th, ARC of Rockland Cafeteria, 25 Hemlock Drive, Congers, 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Sponsored by ARC of Rockland, this membership rally is in support of the developmentally disabled of our community. Adults only $10; Children 2-12 only $5; Under 2 is FREE!
